Early registration deadline extended until March 24, 2009!
The 11th Annual Western States Wrestling Championships, part of the California USA Triple Crown tournament series, is scheduled to take place March 27-28, 2009 at Clovis High School. Participation is open to ALL individuals who meet age criteria. Age division will be determined by participant’s age as of their birthday in 2009. During registration, you will automatically be placed, according to your birthday, in to the correct age division.
For seeding/separation purposes, all participants are encouraged to register by March 24, 2009 via online registration. Registration will cost $35, however, a $50 fee will be charged for late registration (after March 24, 2009). During final registration, wrestlers will be required to show proof of age upon request and turn-in their "Assumption of Risk, Waiver & Release of Liability" form filled out completely and signed. All registration fees must be paid with PayPal or credit card. Seeding will take place on the night of Friday, March 27. All seeding information received after Friday at noon will be disregarded.
The Western States Wrestling Championships will feature some of the best competition the west coast has to offer. In addition, wrestlers will compete in top notch facilities which include the use of up to 9 full-size mats. Furthermore, the top three wrestlers in each age division and weight class will receive outstanding custom resin cougar statue (see website for more details) for awards.
